Was Seven Minutes Of Nausea (7MON) auf ihrer MCD “Das Ablenker” treiben, hat nur noch entfernt etwas mit hörbarer Musik zu tun. Die knapp 21 Minuten sind eher als Noisecore-Studie zu verstehen und erinnern an Steve Austins Experimental-Exzess “Sadness Will Prevail”, der ebenso destruktiv und nihilistisch ausgefallen ist. Ähnlich Austins Today Is The Day geht es 7MON um das Ausloten des musikalischen Grenzbereichs. Mit minimalem Input soll ein Maximum an Wirkung erzielt werden und das mit reduzierten Mitteln. “Das Ablenker” kommt völlig ohne Riffs oder Hooklines aus. Zu hören ist schlichtweg aufwühlender “Krach”, der hier als Ergebnis kreativen Schaffens zu verstehen ist. Blastbeats etc. gibt es nicht. Nicht grundlos werden Seven Minutes Of Nausea auf Konzertplakaten mit Grindcore / Noisecore angekündigt. Sie können beides: brutale Attacken fahren und noisigen Extrem-Minimalismus leben. “Das Ablenker” ist nur etwas für Hartgesottene, die sich für die Basics der Musik interessieren.
